("Qu'il neige!" = the French equivalent of "Let it snow!")
This is what it looks like outside my best friend Kirsten's house, back in Columbus:
So pretty! Look at all the snow and ice and whiteness... It's beautiful.
And now... this is the view from my bedroom window, down here in Evansville:
Nothing.
Now, I know I should be grateful for the clear roads... As pretty as snow is, it would make walking to class and driving across town to work an absolute nightmare. It's preferable that I just wait until Christmas break to wish for any type of freezing precipitation.
I can't help it, though. This year has flown by so it already doesn't feel like it should be December. But with the lack of snow flurries, it really doesn't feel like it. Maybe it's just me, because my mood has always been so dependent on the weather, but I'm finding it really hard to get into the Christmas spirit when it's so plain and boring outside.
What do you think? Is it snowing where you live? Does it take lots and lots of snow to get you into the holiday spirit, or are you just as Christmas-feeling without it?
