Project 365!

ANNOUNCEMENT! :)

I have decided to take on the Project 365 challenge for the year 2011. If you've never heard of Project 365 before, please click that link to read all about it! In short, it's basically a challenge to take one picture every day for an entire year in an attempt to document your life in a unique way and improve your photography skills at the same time.

This is something I'm SUPER excited about for many reasons, but in part because it gives me an excuse to use the new camera I just got for Christmas. I used to carry my digital camera everywhere with me- and I mean everywhere- but it broke at a party last New Years Eve. It killed me to go an entire year without a camera, but finances wouldn't allow for me to buy a new one and most of the time I was too busy and preoccupied to worry about it. So thank you very very very much to "Santa" (a.k.a. my wonderful parents) for getting me a new one for Christmas, even though I didn't even think to ask for one.

I've already set up a Flickr account for Project 365 (check it out here!) and although it's pretty boring now, as I'm not starting until January 1st, I encourage you to check back regularly in 2011 to see how I'm doing. And please, if you're even the slightest bit interested in taking on this challenge yourself, do it! It would be great to have photo buddies to keep in touch with throughout the year as a source of inspiration and encouragement. I would love to see what you all come up with!
