DGFC

Every now and then I'll make a reference to my DGFC girls, or simply the DGFC. This term has become part of our regular vocabulary over the past four years, so it's easy to forget that most people have no idea what we're talking about when we bring it up. I figure it's about time I provide an explanation.

DGFC = Danny Glover Fan Club

Ahh, it all makes sense now, right?

I'm kidding.

Basically, DGFC is a silly nickname (derived from an inside joke which originally took place in the middle of the night, when we were all slap happy, meaning nobody would think it was funny even if I bothered to explain it) for a certain group of girls and I. We started referring to ourselves as the DGFC about halfway through our sophomore year of high school (when the group was first "founded") and it just stuck.

So here we are, four years later, still going strong. The DGFC.

In case you haven't noticed by now... I love these girls. A lot. And I am beyond grateful for their friendship. Just putting the six of us in the same room together automatically makes me the happiest girl in the world. I thank God each and every day for such a wonderful group of best friends.
