Late nights & library cards

Work makes me tiiiiiiired. I didn't get off until almost 1 a.m. last night, and I'm working late again the next couple of nights. I'm scheduled until midnight tonight and 2 a.m. tomorrow night, but my boss said to count on being there until 4 or 5 in the morning. We're doing floorset, which means re-arranging all of the fixtures, tables, and shelves; bringing new merch out onto the floor; putting current merch back into clearance; etc. etc. etc. Fun stuff!

Good news: Because I'm working after close, I can just go in shorts and a t-shirt. I'm all about comfort, so this is a definite plus.

Moving on... I signed Kelly up for her very first library card today! I was so proud and happy for her, I just about cried. (Books hold some extreme sentimental value to me, if you haven't notice.) She took her new library book bag that her friend Lucy picked out for her, and we spent some time in the children's section browsing. She finally picked out two Berenstain Bears picture books and off we went to the front desk, to check out her very own library books. :)

Of course, I tried to photograph this monumental moment in her life. Kelly's not a big fan of getting her picture taken, though, so this was all I could get:

I feel like I should probably take a nap before heading off to work tonight... I planned on sleeping from around 5 to 9 in the evening, because I don't have to be there until 10, but I wasn't tired. I WOULD start getting sleepy now, one hour before I have to start getting ready... Yikes. Wish me luck for tonight!
