Snapshots from Home

All year long I've been trying to surprise my mom by showing up at home without telling her, but no matter how secretive I kept my trips, she would always figure it out before I got to Columbus. It has been the most frustrating thing ever and after she ruined the surprise for the third time, I made a vow to myself that I would pull off this unexpected trip before the end of the school year. And this weekend, I did it!

Only Amber and Nathan knew I was coming. I pulled in my driveway around 8pm on Friday, sneaked into the garage, and entered the house through the side kitchen door. Mom screamed as soon as she saw me. Dad was standing at the sink with his back to me, so it took him a few minutes to realize why Mom was freaking out. It was pretty funny, and I'm super proud that I finally pulled off this surprise visit home.

I had a GREAT weekend with my family and best friend, despite the fact that it was over way too quickly. Here are some pictures I took over the past couple days... I'm sure they'll do a much better job at relaying my fabulous weekend than my rambling words ever could. Enjoy!

What a cutie!

I told Maddie to say "cheese" ... So naturally, she licked Kirsten's cheek
