My first adventure of the summer consisted of a day trip to Indianapolis with my parents and all three of my sisters. The plan? Hit up one of my favorite places on earth (a.k.a. the Indy Zoo) and then the Children's Museum.
I think I was more excited about this trip than my baby sisters. So when I woke up to a dreary, rainy day which made going to the zoo out of the question, I was somewhat disappointed.
(Okay, maybe I was more than somewhat disappointed. Maybe I pouted and stomped around and whined like a little kid. Gimme a break.)
The rain kept us indoors at the Children's Museum all day and even though I was super bummed about missing out on the zoo, I had a great time watching my baby sisters explore. It doesn't measure up to the Indy Zoo (in my eyes), but I've gotta admit- that museum is pretty dang awesome.
Plus, we have a family pass to the zoo for this summer... so I see lots of other Indy trips in the near future. (Thanks, Mom and Dad!)
