This week, in a nutshell

Hello, lovelies! Just a heads up: This post will most likely be either boring, pointless, or random... or maybe even all of the above. Its sole purpose is to get you all up to speed with what's going on in my life lately and why I suck at blogging. You have been warned.

If you follow me on Twitter, you may have seen that I was out of state with some friends for the better part of this past weekend. I went home to Illinois with Hannah and Ryan on Saturday afternoon and we stayed until late Sunday night. We were only gone for a little over 24 hours, but our schedule was jam-packed, so it felt like much longer than a day! Regardless, I had a great time.

Yesterday morning I had to take a Spanish exam but I finished with it pretty quickly, so I was back home by 9:40. Then it was time to hit the road! I made the 3-hour drive back to Columbus to visit with my family for a couple hours and pick up my oldest sister, Amber. She's staying with me for the remainder of this week. :)

Amber and I got back to Evansville a little after 6:30 last night. It was still light outside so Hannah and Ryan and I took her down to the river. That's been one of our favorite places lately, if you can't tell!

Tomorrow, I have Spanish class at 9:00am but as soon as I'm done, we're heading to the Mesker Zoo! I love that place. And then after the zoo, it's time for Winter Jam, which is the main reason why Amber is visiting this weekend. I can't wait!

Winter Jam is the biggest tour in Christian music and they come to Evansville every year. There will be TONS of bands and artists there, including some of my favorites- David Crowder Band, Newsboys, Francesca Battistelli, and Jason Castro. It's going to be an amazing evening full of music, worship, and praise... and it's only $10 at the door! Though the seats generally go on a "first come, first serve" basis, we contacted one of the tour workers last month to reserve seats in a handicap-accessible section, because of Amber's wheelchair. The lady we talked to was super nice and told us to go to the VIP tent at the stadium between 4:30 and 5:30 to pick up our VIP passes and get seated before the doors open to the general public. So exciting!

Friday is Madison's 2nd birthday, so the Ambers and I are headed back to Columbus right after classes. My crazy, busy, fun week is going to end on the perfect note: getting to spend a weekend at home with my family and friends.

So there's my reasoning as to why I suck at blogging... I've been so busy lately. Not much of an excuse, but throw in the fact that I am still laptop-less and it gets a little more valid. I do have tons of pictures from the past few weeks that I would love to share, however, so I'll try my best to snag a computer and get those posted ASAP.

Hope everyone out there is doing fabulously well. Even though I haven't been very great at posting lately, I'm still reading all of your blogs regularly- that's always my first priority because I love hearing all about what's going on in your lives.
