Hump Day Happiness

Here are some of the things that have been making me smile and keeping me sane, despite the fact that the next two weeks will consist of some of the most stressful days of my life.

1. Bubble baths

Especially if a Harry Potter book is involved. Bubble baths have literally become an addiction of mine over the past week or so. I've been taking one every night and the main rule for these baths? No thinking about classes or finals or work. Total relaxation. Sure, devoting so much time to relaxing in sudsy bathwater puts a damper on my productivity level sometimes all the time... but it's totally worth it.

2. Snow

Evansville experienced the first snow of the year yesterday! When I checked the weather before class the forecast called for nothing but rain, which put a damper on my mood. Upon exiting the building after my first class, however, I was very surprised to see SNOW falling instead. I spent the entirety of my second class staring out the window watching the huge, fat snowflakes swirl around. I don't know if it was because it was the first snow, or if it really was just beautiful, but the scene was mesmerizing. The entire time I was itching to run outside and take pictures but I don't think my professor would have appreciated that. By the time class was over it had downgraded to a nasty rainy slush, but it was pretty while it lasted. I might as well appreciate nature's snowy beauty while it lasts because I know I'll be cursing the winter weather before too long.

3. Kelly Clarkson tickets!!!

I have been waiting for Kelly Clarkson to go on tour again since August 14th, 2009. (That's the last time I saw her in concert.) This will be my third time seeing her in concert and I couldn't be more excited about it! The concert is at the Fox Theatre in St. Louis and I'm going with two of my best friends in the world, Amy and Erin, so it's sure to be one of the best nights of my life. If you haven't noticed by now... Kelly Clarkson is my hero. I have been obsessed with a hardcore fan of hers since her very first audition on American Idol. Seriously. The other day I was talking to Amy about how much I love KC and her music, and Amy started tearing up. It's that intense.

That's all I've got for today. Might I add once again how happy I am to be blogging again. :) I hope you all have a WONDERFUL Wednesday and good luck on finals for all you college bloggers out there!
